Aberdevine Corporate Social Responsibility Policy

At Aberdevine, we are dedicated to maintaining the highest standards in our products and in our responsibility to the environment, supply chain, and values.

Scope: This policy applies to all activities carried out by Aberdevine.

Protecting Our People: We prioritise working with a small and discerning team. Our initial design, construction, and production are all carried out within a 177-kilometre[1] radius to allow for personal visits, full transparency, and shared values. By working with local artisans, we ensure that everyone involved in producing our garments is fairly compensated and respected for their skills. The local factory where we manufacture employs 4-6 seamstresses and was established by a local seamstress in response to larger local manufacturers that only pay minimum wage. We are committed to providing safe and fair working conditions for all employees in our supply chain by personally selecting our partners and regularly visiting our manufacturers, which is conduced in person by our founder, Marta.

Protecting Our Customers: We are committed to providing our customers with the necessary information to make sustainable and responsible purchases. From detailed information on the website, precise labelling to our afterlife program, we aim to empower our customers to make informed choices.

Protecting Our Planet: Becoming fully circular is a key focus for Aberdevine. We strive to use environmentally friendly practices in all stages of our production process. For more details, please refer to our environmental policy statement.

Product: This includes durable, high-end designs and construction, sourcing all components within the continent, and using regenerated lace, recycled elastics, components, and natural plant dyes wherever possible. We encourage our customers to return old bra components rather than throwing them away.

Packaging and Postage: At Aberdevine, we have committed to using only recycled and recyclable unbleached boxes in letterbox size, as well as paper wrapping, in order to reduce plastic pollution. For deliveries within the UK, we use Royal Mail, and for worldwide deliveries, we use FedEx or DHL, as our research shows that they have the lowest gas emissions.

Charity: For every item purchased from Aberdevine, we donate £1.00 directly to charity. In 2024, we supported the Helmsley Walled Garden in the North Yorkshire Moors by contributing to the planting and care of a variety of plants and flowers to support biodiversity.

Continuous Improvement: We are committed to continuously improving all aspects of our business, including our CSR practices. We regularly review and update our policies to meet the highest sustainability and ethical business practices standards.

At Aberdevine, we believe that our CSR efforts are essential to our mission of creating beautiful, high-quality lingerie while making a positive impact on the world. We are committed to upholding these values and invite our customers, employees, and partners to join us in our journey towards a more sustainable future.
